I will miss Gerard immensely. He is gone way before his time. I wish Donna and his family the deepest condolences. I recall back in 2010 at the depth of the last market downturn. I came to Gerard with a request to help publicize the Project Homeowner event amongst the attendees of Tuesday 8:30 AM MLS meetings. Gerard could not have been more helpful, kind, and understanding. He did whatever we needed to get done to make the event a success. Gerard was that kind of guy. Roll your sleeves up and get it done type of guy. RIP, buddy…we will miss you greatly!

Gerard was definitely one of a kind. Always could be found with a smile, great jokes to lighten any occasion or event and a willing hand. He was so helpful to me personally while I was on the Board. Gerard make me feel so important and welcome…. thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and friendship. You will truly be missed by me and I’m sure by everyone that had the pleasure to meet you ❤️

Gerard. ..the first time I met you, you were nervous about playing your drums for a FAR function. You did great, as you did on everything thereafter when it came to the board. We got to know you and Dolly quickly thereafter and there was never a minute that we didn’t enjoy every second with you and Dolly. When we became your neighbors it was so much fun. You welcomed us, played right center with us in our back yard after your walks, every Halloween we’d join together at your front deck and hand out candy and of course have copious quantities of wine, (so much fun) dined out together, made great eggnog together, swam, spinned and laughed together ; dined together, in our homes, watched your fabulous tv together, loved your Vinnie together and each other, New Years, Christmas and birthdays. So much more, like gambling, the coast at Julie’s, weddings and impromptu get togethers. We will forever love and miss Gerard. We will not stop loving and having you with us. Wherever you are he will be there. The world has lost an incredible man and friend. Our hearts are broken.

Thank you Gerard for your friendship and all of the wonderful memories we have of many shared adventures . We had the greatest laughs as well as plenty of shared “side jokes”. You are so missed and we are not sure how a world without Gerard Lozano will look but are certain a sparkle is missing. We will continue to hold you in our hearts and feel so blessed to have had you as a friend. Donna, we love you and stand beside you as we all travel this new path. Our sincere condolences to the entire Lozano Family.
    Cheers to you Gerard!
Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    G,

I’m still not sorry for forking your lawn that one time. 😀 You and Donna we’re always my favorite people to visit when I came to town (besides my parents of course…!) I’m so happy to have gotten to know you over the years, my parents were so blessed to have you as a neighbor. You were always the life of the party and I don’t think I ever saw you not smiling and laughing. There will be a void in future neighborhood gatherings but you can be sure we’ll always toast a fireball shot in your name!! Thinking of you Donna and sending hugs as you navigate through this hard time. G, you can bet I’ll be shouting “SHE-SHEEK!” for you, every time I jump into Millerton!!

Love from Seattle, Renee & Brett Sodini

I have very fond memories of playing at Grandma Juanita’s house. I cannot remember him as ever having a frown. He was always full of joy and wore that attitude with pride. Gerard is a treasure that will always be remembered! 🙂

  9. Emo Negrete

Our condolences to the entire Lozano Family. We remember spending time with Gerard when we would visit Grandma Juanita. Gerard was always so happy and such a pleasure to be around. We weren’t able to join the virtual service but we read the beautiful tribute. You must all be so proud of his accomplishments and of the man he became. He will definitely be lifting everyone’s spirits in Heaven.
Our thought and prayers are with all of you.

Ahh, cousin Gerard! You will be missed so much! Even though we didn’t get to see each other much in our adult years, I fondly remember our growing up kid years.

My best memory of Gerard is when we were little and we made pickle and saltine cracker sandwiches! We once finished off a whole jar of pickles at one time! They were so delicious! Gerard, I see all the tributes and posts and it is apparent that your sphere of influence was far reaching! You lived life well and made sure that people were valued, loved and respected. Thank you for your love and fun!

Nino Mike and Nina Dodie, I love you! I am praying hard for you that God will provide the comfort and peace that you need at this most difficult time!

Donna, you and Gerard were made for each other. He was a happy hubby and that says a lot about the two of you and your love for each other. Thank you for loving well! I pray that God will bring you comfort and peace as you mourn. I love you!

Danny, David, Raymond, Ben and families–I am praying that God will give you comfort and peace. I pray that we all will find ways to love and live as well as Gerard did. I look forward to the day when we will be reunited with him and all of our loved ones that have gone before us. I love you guys!

    Hugs and Love~~Celeste and Cory

  12. Dave Carroll

Despite my shock and grief, I can only remember Gerard as joyful and enthusiastic. Sincere condolences to Donna and the entire Lozano family. His devotion to Faith and Family was an example for all of us to learn from.

I knew Gerard as a rock-steady drummer and rock-solid friend. With the G-Man at his Trap Cat, everybody had fun. He was a precise and gifted entertainer. My most cherished gigs were family events, such as my daughter’s middle school dance and my all-time favorite, the OLV Carnival. Certain Birds had a great time, back where it all began for both of us.

He was a man of wit and wisdom beyond his years. He will be truly missed.

  13. Desrie van Putten

When I think of Gerard I see his warm smile; his welcoming presence and ability to acknowledge each person and attempt to bring them into the circle! His concern for all of us in the Fresno REALTOR family was consistently felt and I have fond memories of Legislative Days and knowing he would be there to guide us through the process. When Mary retired, we knew Gerard was the right person to continue FAR’s amazing work. Donna, our hearts are with you and I can only imagine your sense of loss. Please know that we will continue to remember Gerard and be grateful to have known him. With love and prayers, Desrie van Putten

  14. mike chielpegian

I met Gerard when we were freshmen at SJM. His warm smile, positive outlook on life, and quick wit drew people to him immediately. He was a cool cat in high school and as an adult. I always enjoyed our time together and I am honored to call him a friend. He will always be remembered by me and countless others.

  19. Vicki Atrat

Gerard was always the one who walked into a room with that big smile and would be the center of attraction Because he was so loved by everyone. Our hearts are broken for Donna and his family. ❤️

Going to miss our Christmas shopping ? and Mexican dinners.

  20. Rico Lozano

This has been an especially tough week..last Wednesday I received a call from my brother Mike, that his son, Gerard had passed away at the young age of 50..several times I thought I’d post something for him, but each time I tried it hit too close to my heart so I couldn’t continue..
..Gerard was special to my wife Linda and me, since he spent time with us in his early teens and we got to take him to his first baseball game at ANGEL’S Stadium..I remember a quiet, shy, but respectful boy, who studied the game intensely…later found that he loved Baseball, albeit the SF GIANTS..also found out that he learned to play the drums (I’m a professional drummer so I was thrilled when he told me the name of his band was, “The Dead Gumbies”..it was 80’s after all..)..I’ve been told he was a very good drummer ..wish I had gotten to see him play…since, my Baptismal name is also Gerard, I felt even more connected…Mike called him, “my lil’ buddy, Gerard”…and that’s how I felt…
I send my sincerest Love to my Brother, his wife, Dolores..their sons, Danny, David, Raymond and Ben …and especially to his lovely wife, Donna
..something tells me he’s watching the real ANGELS play…in fact, this time I bet he made the team…
    God Bless you, Gerard..

  21. Sarajane Hawkins

I loved this man with all my heart. He and Donna were the happiest couple on the planet. A true joy to be around. I am so grateful to have had the pleasure of his company for many years. Donna I hope to see you soon. You are in my prayers. Much love. Sarajane

  22. John & Shelly Shamshoian

Shelly and I are heartbroken that our Beloved friend Gerard has passed so soon. What a unique and incredibly gifted human being.
Thank you dear friend for your attention to detail that allowed all of us around you to do our jobs better than we would have otherwise. You brought joy and happiness to all of those who’s lives you touched! You are and always will be deeply loved.

To Donna and his family, we offer our love and deep condolences. Gerard was always the happiest when he was with his Beloved Donna. It was a joy to see the two of you together. You defined the meaning of the word “soulmates”. Donna, you will always be a cherished member of our real estate community and we will be there to help you in any way we can.

Thank God for His sacrifice that promises us through faith that we will eternally live a life more wonderful than we can imagine. We know that we will see our Beloved Gerard again and look forward to that day. Until then, you will be deeply missed. Thank you dear friend for making this world a better place to live and for your friendship you gave to Shelly and me. Thank heaven for heaven.

  23. Fae Kokke

Gerard greeted me at the FAR office years ago. I was new to REALTOR involvement and knew nobody. Gerard said “Hi Fae!” as I walked past him. Surprised, I asked how he knew me. He grinned and replied “Everyone knows Fae Kokke!” I certainly felt welcome. Gerard set a tone of respect and love for my fellow REALTORS. It is hard to imagine FAR without his ongoing presence, but I believe FAR will continue to reflect those wonderful selfless qualities we loved in Gerard.

  24. Anna Farley

Being in the Real Estate financial industry for over 20 years, I have attended many F.A.R. / MLS events. Without a doubt, Gerard was there, welcoming all members and friends with a BIG SMILE! I have many warm memories of the dedicated hours Gerard has put into our association and community. He was absolutely one of the good guys! I am still in disbelief that he has left us so suddenly. Prayers to your family during this difficult time, as heaven has gained another angel! Rest in peace my friend, you will be truly missed!

  25. Sheila Frowsing

My husband rarely remembers all of my business contacts he’s met over the past 16 years at the many events but when I told him about Gerard’s passing he said “he’s the shorter guy that always had a smile on his face”. Absolutely. Without a doubt he knew exactly who I was talking about as Gerard’s smile was infectious. Donna you and the rest of the family are in my prayers- may you feel His comfort and the love from all of us in this hard time.

I knew Gerard from OLV and SJM. We also worked together at Miller’s Outpost. It was there that I really got to know him and our friendship was formed. He was truly the most sweetest man you could ever meet. He never spoke ill of anyone. My prayers to his wife and family during this difficult time. Truly an angel here on earth.
